Connect’s Fiber Optic In-Line Splice Closure Seriesis made of rugged, environmentally-resistant molded plastic and utilizes grommet sealing technology which makes these optical fiber splice closures ideal for outside plant (OSP) aerial and below ground applications. The FIC-CA6 closure provides protection and the distribution of fiber optical splices, the division of optical signals, while connecting individual subscribers in various applications. This unit is also capable of accommodating various types of splitters, such as 1X4, 1X8, 1X16 and is capable of accommodating up to a maximum of 16 drop cables. Primary cable work is done in the front portion of the closure while the adaptors and drop cables are accessed from the rear. In addition, the unit provides mechanical cable clamping to allow for mid-span branching while providing easy and reliable installation for any environmental condition.
