The CF Fiber Dome Splice Closure (FDC) Series is made of a rugged, environmentally-resistant, molded plastic that makes this optical fiber splice closure ideal for Outside Plant (OSP) below-grade, aerial and direct buried applications.

The FDC Closure employs a lightweight, ribbed dome with a two-piece bolted sealing ring to provide a low-cost, water-proof, impact-resistant closure for optimum fiber splice protection. The FDC is designed to support butt-end, branch and express cable configurations as well as round or flat drops. All FDSC closures include a flash value for seal verification.

The FDC Series offers four sizes of closures to accommodate splice capacities up to 576 Loose Buffer Tube (LBT) fiber counts and 1,152 Ribbon fiber counts. Most ancillary components necessary for installation are included with each FDSC closure to simplify the installation. Additional cable glands and splice trays are available as Closure Accessory Kits. The FDSC Series is Telcordia Technologies GR-771-CORE compliant.
