Connect Fiber's FieldProof Outdoor Mechanical Splice Kit consists of a mechanical splice that is installed in a protective sleeve and is designed for splicing flat and round drop cables for indoor and outdoor applications. No special tools are required when using the splice repair kit. The splice kit allows the fusion point to be water & dust resistant by applying the provided heat shrink tube. With a transparent body the splicing results are immediately visible. Both features promise an insertion loss of 0.2dB and an installation time of 30 seconds.
